English writing skill class (chapter 4 group 2)

For this week lecture, English Writing Skills class lecture is focus on the writing grammar. Grammar is a very important thing  in our writing. A lot of people facing grammar error while writing a sentence. First, Ms Thinessha have taught us the basic principle. I had learned and understand how to use "is and are". After that, she remind us how to the punctuation such as full stop, question mark, exclamation mark and others. After the class, Ms Thinessha had asked us what grammar we still have to improve and she will do it in a slide teach us to improve our grammar. So I was interesting for the next class. Unfortunately, I have some small accident so that I can't attend the English Writing Skill tutorial class. I hope that Ms Thinessha will teach us those grammar in next week because my grammar is weak. I want to have a good writing skill, good sentence. I am trying to improve myself. That's all for this week.

English writing skill (chapter 3, group 2)

For this week English Writing Skill class, the chapter is more focus on type of writing. There are four main character in the type of writing. The first type of writing is expository writing. Expository writing's main purpose is to explain. Explain is the writing provide more facts of the object to make sure the audience understand clearly about the object. Expository writing is subject oriented writing skill, which mean that your explanation is base on what the audience ask. Beside that, the second type of writing is descriptive writing. Descriptive writing's main purpose is to describe something, for an example when you want to describe a character, an events or a place in great detail. Describe something when the audience want more detail of the character, event or place to let then know more about that. After descriptive writing, I would like to introduce persuasive writing. English writing skills (week 3 group 2)

This week is the second lecture week of English Writing Skills class. I had learned chapter two of this subject which is audience and purpose. The definition of audience is an author's audience is the particular group of readers or viewers that the writer is addressing. Everytime you write something must have an audience. Before you start writing, ask yourself a few questions. Who is this for? What do you know about them? There are four types of audience that I learned in this class. The first type is yourself. If you write something to yourself, there are no formalities needed. The second type of audience is personal friend. When you write something as chatting with your friend, this also can be informal unless your friend is requesting formal writing. The third type of audience is a person that you don't know personally but you know something about them. For an example, your school principal, lecturer, manager or others. English Writing Skill

This week is the first lecture of English Writing Skill class. I had learnt the concept of writing, process of writing and know the difference of a poor writing and good writing. The definition of writing is to communicate specific information or ideas, utilizing the formats, language and content relevant to the work place. There are five process of writing, first process is prewriting, second process is drafting, third process is revising, fourth process is editing and the last process is publishing. If we follow the process, this will decrease the chance of making mistake. There are two categories of writing, which is good writing and poor writing. For the good writing, the content is solid and meaningful. The writer will always correct their grammar mistake. The poor writing is totally different compare with the good writing. The poor writing have a lot of grammatical error and spelling mistakes. The content is not true. After the class, I am learning how to become a good writer. ...
